There are lots of volunteer opportunities and they don't all involve getting your boots dirty! ​​If you are interested in volunteering, please fill out the form and join us!

On The Farm

Animal Caretakers

These volunteers will have the most hands-on experience with the animals.

Volunteers will NOT be able to ride horses at the sanctuary.

​Experience Required: None but must love animals

Animal Interaction: Horses, pigs, goats, sheep, alpacas, a llama, ducks, rabbits. 

Example of Duties: Letting animals out and rounding them up to go in, Mucking stalls, Brushing the animals, Performing wellness checks, Putting out hay bales, Cleaning pens, Watering/feeding, Enrichment (yes, playing with the animals)

Build & Repair

Not really an animal person? That's okay, we need help with other stuff!

Experience Required: Yes.

Animal Interaction: Interaction with the animals may happen but is not required for this volunteer opportunity

Example of Duties: Machinery maintenance, Construction and repair of shelters, Fence construction and repair, Odd jobs around the farm, Paddock maintenance, Hay stacking (during Hay Season), Fixing things that are broken by a goat (it’s a full-time job, really)

Virtual Volunteers

Live too far away or don't have transportation? No problem. There are plenty of ways to help from wherever you are. Behind-the-scenes tasks are just as vital as on-farm care.

Social Media & Website 

Are you tech savvy? Do you enjoy creating posts for social media?

Experience required: comfortable planning and creating social media posts

Animal Interactions: Not unless you want to come to the farm to take pictures or videos (if not we can share them with you)

Examples of duties: collaborate with a social media plan, post content, maintain website

Fundraising

For those who enjoy talking to people

Experience Required: considered an asset, but not necessary

Animal Interaction: Not unless you come to the farm to visit and get to know the animals you’d be helping to support

Examples of Duties: creating fundraising campaigns throughout the year, contacting local businesses about donating or sponsoring
