Animals are not always predictable. They each have their own personality and reactions to strangers Please follow directions from the staff.

Please don't feed any of our animals unless directed. They have specific diets and their health and happiness is important!
Not a Petting Zoo
Sanctuaries are not petting zoos. Many of our animals have come from homes where they were neglected or not used to human interaction. That being said, we have been working with them extensively and are hopeful that with more interaction, they will be more willing to approach strangers. Regardless of their background, our animals can choose whether they want to interact with every visitors or not.

Please allow the animals to come to you or to move away from you if they are not comfortable. We will point out animals that usually like to be pet but, just like people, animals can have days when they don't want to "people".
